Greetings -
I wanted to express my deepest thanks to each of you who joined for this past Tuesday's dreamprocess workshop in Stow, MA.
Eleven of us were there that evening, which brings the total number of people who have joined a dreamprocess workshop to just over 300 since we began these two years ago this month.
As promised, all proceeds from this week's workshop were donated to Partners in Health on behalf of each of the 300 of you "dreamprocessors" who have contributed to making these workshops one of the most life-transforming experiences I've ever had. In turn, my deepest wish is this simple framework will continue to help you make sense of important life themes ... and equally so the lives of those around you. I also wish to expressly thank First Parish Church of Stow and Acton for providing me the workshop meeting space at no charge.
Finally, I wanted to let you know this Tuesday's dreamprocess workshop was the last one I will lead.
I continue to use the dreamprocess for my own goal-setting and prioritization, and have learned these past two years to sometimes just put ideas or dreams "out there" and let them happen without deadlines. It's in this context that the dreamprocess helped me understand I have only so much energy to give, and the best place to channel it now is toward my work around sustainability (both in terms of what I do in my career and in the community). Specifically, the dreamprocess itself helped me to refine a goal from one year ago entitled "Earth healing at the center of how I earn my living" to now read "Earth healing at the center of how I live my life". A simple change, but one with important ramifications for me and for those whose lives I touch.
I expect what I now call the dreamprocess will resurface at some point in the context of earth healing. I have no idea how or when, but I know it will. In the meantime, I'm about to realize another dreamprocess goal of mine called "Driving across the USA" -- as I will begin a 5-week drive across the country three weeks from today.
For those who would like to continue sharing ideas and experiences, please feel free to stop by my personal web site at www.mikebalin.com where you can add your name to an email distribution list if you wish to remain posted on how this all progresses. By the time you read these words I will have deleted your name from the current dreamprocess mailing list, so you will no longer receive communication from me about this unless you choose to join the new list.
I remain gratefully yours ... in peace.
Mike
